NOTE: I do not subscribe to any religion. I once believed in Masoretic Text translations until I dug deeper and came to a different conclusion during my search through Christian denominational teachings, their leaders, and the roots of how they started, while reading the Bible itself verse by verse a few times (many translations) or more to match up their beliefs to the spiritual book they claim to follow and believe in themselves. If you ask me what I believe, I would say what the scholarly census has agreed upon, even if the decision board doesn't agree with them because they're worried about the faith of humanity for what they were taught to believe despite it contradicting evidence. Anything I've studied, watched, read is added here to help you see how I got to this point to help others who are curious too.
(Articles of their own denominational literature and videos etc., broken down with my own notes highlighted in blue)
What they tell their people
The other sheep should never forget that their salvation depends on their active support of Christ’s anointed “brothers” still on earth.
Imperfect and all but will tell them if they are able to live again or not. However (as below) they won't get everlasting life, but they shouldn't even try and live today, or they'll definitely take that hope away from them too.
Also, it is to the spirit-anointed Christians who will rule in that kingdom that most of the Christian Greek Scriptures is directed, including the promises of everlasting life.
The NT is not for their great crowd/rank and file, despite the people before them that were strangled while being burned alive for the common people to read it for themselves.
Breakdown with notes
23 Today, according to authentic records, there is a “great crowd” of dedicated, baptized Christians
Dedicated to Gods organization, not consecrated to God to be holy priest.
who actively collaborate with the small remnant of spiritual Israelites. Ever since the spring of 1938
Another date, why then?
they have been invited to attend the annual memorial celebration of Christ’s death, not to partake of the memorial emblems, the unleavened bread and the red wine, but as respectful observers.a They recognize Jesus Christ as their heavenly King since the Gentile Times ended in 1914. They zealously join the remnant of spiritual Israelites in preaching “this good news of the kingdom” in all the inhabited earth for a “witness to all the nations” before this system of things ends in the coming “great tribulation.” (Matt. 24:14, 21) They recognize that they are not spiritual Israelites in the new covenant mediated by Jesus Christ, nor part of the “chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation.”—1 Pet. 2:9.
The lie they made them believe.
I've never heard "you are not" in the bible to prove a point that God doesn't trust someone that much but only a certain folk. Other than, Pharisee.
24 Yet they do benefit from the operation of the new covenant. They benefit from this just as, in ancient Israel, the “alien resident” benefited from residing in among the Israelites who were in the Law covenant.—Ex. 20:10; Lev. 19:10, 33, 34; Rev. 7:9-15.
They take this out of context. The verse below shows they didn't look that far into it.
Deu 29:10-15
“You stand today, all of you, before the Lord your God: your heads, your tribes, your elders and your officers, that is, all the men of Israel, your little ones, your wives, and the stranger who is within your camps, from the one who gathers your firewood to the one who draws your water, so that you may enter into the covenant with the Lord your God, and into His oath which the Lord your God is making with you today, in order that He may establish you today as His people, and that He may be your God, just as He spoke to you and as He swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
“Now it is not with you alone that I am making this covenant and this oath, but both with those who stand here with us today in the presence of the Lord our God, and with those who are not with us here today
THOSE FOR WHOM CHRIST IS MEDIATOR
The apostle Paul declares that there is “one mediator between God and men, a man, Christ Jesus, who gave himself a corresponding ransom for all.” (1Tim. 2:5, 6)
"all".
He mediates the new covenant between God and those taken into the new covenant, the congregation of spiritual Israel.
Doctrine dog whistle.
(Heb. 8:10-13; 12:24; Eph. 5:25-27) Christ became Mediator in order that the ones called “might receive the promise of the everlasting inheritance” (Heb. 9:15); he assists, not the angels, but “Abraham’s seed.”
All those who believe and have faith as Abraham did, according to Heb. Not entering a organization
(Heb. 2:16) He assists those who are to be brought into the new covenant to be ‘adopted’ into Jehovah’s household of spiritual sons, these ones eventually to be in heaven
Meaning their names are written, not literally, they inherit the earth.
as Christ’s brothers, becoming a part with him of the seed of Abraham.
The faith of Abraham.
(Rom. 8:15-17, 23-25; Gal. 3:29) He has transmitted to them the promised holy spirit, with which spirit they are sealed and are given a token of what is to come, their heavenly inheritance
Sealed before the great tribulation to go through it. The heavenly reward is your name written and the promise by the God in heaven.
. (2 Cor. 5:5; Eph. 1:13, 14) The total number of those who are finally and permanently sealed is revealed in Revelation 7:4-8 as 144,000 persons.
We don’t know who they will be and have no right to say who they are to be, because only God knows, and the great trib hasn't started yet for them to come out of it to stand on Zion (earth) to praise God that they did. Or if your a preterist, it has already happened.
Masoretic text written and forged by denying Messiah Jews, wrote this to promote themselves over everyone. Roman folk, to today, have hated Jews and made themselves in the positions Jews have created making them superior over everyone else.
19 Leading such a calm, godly, serious life would work for the salvation of Christians who offered these petitions concerning political rulers. Salvation of such inoffensive Christians was “fine and acceptable in the sight of our Savior, God.” Why so? Because it is God’s will “that all sorts of men should be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth.” In harmony with this the one here called “our Savior” is, not Jesus Christ, but “God.”
20. According to 1 Timothy 2:5, 6, what is the role of Christ Jesus in God’s program of salvation?
20 What, then, is Christ’s role in this program of salvation? Paul proceeds to say: “There is one God, and one mediator between God and men [not, all men], a man Christ Jesus, who gave himself a corresponding ransom for all.”—1 Tim. 2:5, 6.
Not going to the actual scripture, and when you do they put in their NWT "sorts", so
added. Check post on challenging their translation part 2.
16. (a) Between whom was Moses the mediator? (b) Between whom is the Greater Moses, Jesus Christ, the Mediator?
16 Just as the ancient nation of Israel was in a covenant relationship with Jehovah God through the mediator Moses, so the nation of spiritual Israel, “the Israel of God,” has a covenant relationship through a mediator. (Galatians 6:16) It is as the apostle Paul wrote to his Christian fellow worker: “There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, a man, Christ Jesus.” (1 Timothy 2:5) Was Moses the mediator between Jehovah God and mankind in general? No, he was the mediator between the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and the nation of their fleshly descendants. Likewise, the Greater Moses, Jesus Christ, is not the Mediator between Jehovah God and all mankind. He is the Mediator between his heavenly Father, Jehovah God, and the nation of spiritual Israel, which is limited to only 144,000 members. This spiritual nation is like a little flock of Jehovah’s sheeplike ones.—Romans 9:6; Revelation 7:4.
The little flock was the Jews; the greater flock is the gentiles grafted in to gain the same hope, a bigger version of your own singled out hope.
11 Nevertheless, in a preliminary way, the great crowd have already “washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.” (Revelation 7:14) Christ does not act as Mediator of the new covenant toward them, yet they benefit from this covenant through the work of God’s Kingdom. Christ still acts toward them, however, as High Priest, through whom Jehovah can and does apply the ransom to the extent of their now being declared righteous as God’s friends. (Compare James 2:23.) During the Millennium, they will gradually “be set free from enslavement to corruption [until finally they] have the glorious freedom of the children of God.”—Romans 8:21.
Saying through the work of the organization? We're just friends, not children of God?
Those for Whom Christ Is Mediator. The apostle Paul declares that there is “one mediator between God and men, a man, Christ Jesus, who gave himself a corresponding ransom for all”—for both Jews and Gentiles. (1Ti 2:5, 6) He mediates the new covenant between God and those taken into the new covenant, the congregation of spiritual Israel. (Heb 8:10-13; 12:24; Eph 5:25-27) Christ became Mediator in order that the ones called “might receive the promise of the everlasting inheritance” (Heb 9:15); he assists, not the angels, but “Abraham’s seed.” (Heb 2:16) He assists those who are to be brought into the new covenant to be ‘adopted’ into Jehovah’s household of sons; these eventually will be in heaven as Christ’s brothers, becoming a part with him of the seed of Abraham. (Ro 8:15-17, 23-25; Ga 3:29) He has transmitted to them the promised holy spirit, with which spirit they are sealed and are given a token of what is to come, their heavenly inheritance. (2Co 5:5; Eph 1:13, 14) The total number of those who are finally and permanently sealed is revealed in Revelation 7:4-8 as 144,000.
Yes, that is thee two flock into one
Abraham seed are those who have the faith like he did
Adopted to being sons of God with the people as one flock.
They rely so heavily on that 144k being literal for this. Just a theory, what if Due 29:10-15 was a literal number back then counting the jews....but then the strangers were an added number on the side as well?
The people of all nations who have the hope of everlasting life on earth benefit even now from Jesus’ services. Though he is not their legal Mediator, for they are not in the new covenant, he is their means of approaching Jehovah. Christ said: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6) All who will gain life on earth must direct their prayers to Jehovah through Jesus. (John 14:13, 23, 24) Jesus also serves as a compassionate High Priest who is able to apply in their behalf the benefits of his sacrifice, allowing them to gain forgiveness and eventual salvation.—Acts 4:12; Hebrews 4:15.
Consequently, 1 Timothy 2:5, 6 is not using “mediator” in the broad sense common in many languages. It is not saying that Jesus is a mediator between God and all mankind. Rather, it refers to Christ as legal Mediator (or, “attorney”) of the new covenant, this being the restricted way in which the Bible uses the term. Jesus is also a corresponding ransom for all in that covenant, both Jews and Gentiles, who will receive immortal life in heaven. The apostle John referred to these at 1 John 2:2. But he indicated that others too will receive the benefit of Christ’s sacrifice: “He is a propitiatory sacrifice for our sins, yet not for ours only but also for the whole world’s.”
They're adding their dogma to this and changing meanings. The whole world is the whole world. No one is going to be ruling in heaven, only Jesus till he comes down to rule and walk among us here, that false doctrine is based off false doctrine to make 2 classes of Christian, which the only 2 there ever was, would be Jews (1 flock) Gentiles (2nd flock).
"Eventual" salvation is a slap in the face of both God and Jesus, say that to the thief on the cross.
If you are not in a covenant, at the very least you are not a "Christian", no rank and file are actually "Christian", perhaps this is why they are only called "adherents".
A word salad and changing the meaning of the words.
So in this strict Biblical sense Jesus is the “mediator” only for anointed Christians.
See?
8 During the final period of the “ancient world” that perished in the Flood, Noah was a faithful “preacher of righteousness.” (2 Peter 2:5) In these last days of the present system of things, Jehovah’s people are making known God’s righteous standards and are declaring good news about the possibility of surviving into the new world. (2 Peter 3:9-13) Just as Noah and his God-fearing family were preserved in the ark, survival of individuals today depends on their faith and their loyal association with the earthly part of Jehovah’s universal organization.
They are now to put their faith into them...men. Strictly goes against the bible.
Their talks made others think that they loved and obeyed Jehovah, but their actions in this situation showed that they did not. We know that Jehovah was not pleased with their actions. They left his organization.—Matthew 10:1-6; Acts 5:42; 20:20.
11 It was also hard for many of the other Bible Students to preach from house to house, especially in the beginning. But they obeyed and were loyal to Jehovah’s organization. After some time, it became easier for them to preach from house to house. Jehovah blessed them very much. What do you do when the faithful and discreet slave tells you to try a way of preaching that you never tried before? Do you obey even if this way of preaching seems very difficult to you?
I shouldn’t have to explain anything.
19 So what do we need to do? We need to obey Jehovah in all situations in life. Because we are imperfect, this will be difficult for us sometimes. But we must strongly believe that what Jehovah tells us to do is always the best for us.
Obey them.
[Blurb on page 24]
We need to obey the faithful and discreet slave to have Jehovah’s approval
Off the same page.
Obeying Jehovah’s voice also means obeying Jesus’ voice, for Jehovah himself told us to do so. (Matthew 17:5) What does Jesus, the Fine Shepherd, tell us to do? He teaches us to make disciples and to trust “the faithful and discreet slave.” (Matthew 24:45; 28:18-20) Obeying his voice means our eternal life.—Acts 3:23.
Actually, he never said trust anyone, if anything, to be trustable. Especially not with these verses that were meant for all to hear and to apply to themselves if they were going to be followers of his God and himself.
We are to obey Jesus only "The way, the truth and the light", to be able to be in the presence of God. When they say Obey Jehovah, they mean them, and when they say, it means also obeying Jesus, they put themselves Infront of Jesus because they say they are of Jehovah, hardly ever talk about Jesus to begin with.
