NOTE: I do not subscribe to any religion. I once believed in Masoretic Text translations until I dug deeper and came to a different conclusion during my search through Christian denominational teachings, their leaders, and the roots of how they started, while reading the Bible itself verse by verse a few times (many translations) or more to match up their beliefs to the spiritual book they claim to follow and believe in themselves. If you ask me what I believe, I would say what the scholarly census has agreed upon, even if the decision board doesn't agree with them because they're worried about the faith of humanity for what they were taught to believe despite it contradicting evidence. Anything I've studied, watched, read is added here to help you see how I got to this point to help others who are curious too.

Article breakdown

JEHOVAH GOD is the Grand Identifier of his true messengers. He identifies them by making the messages he delivers through them come true. Jehovah is also the Great Exposer of false messengers. How does he expose them? He frustrates their signs and predictions. In this way he shows that they are self-appointed prognosticators, whose messages really spring from their own false reasoning—yes, their foolish, fleshly thinking!

Jehovah’s personality and cardinal qualities—love, wisdom, justice, and power—have not changed. He told the people of Israel: “I am Jehovah; I have not changed.” (Malachi 3:6) This was some 3,500 years after God’s creation of mankind. True to that divine statement, a close examination of the Bible as a whole reveals a God who is unchanging in his standards and qualities.

  • Then why do they?

Jehovah, with his perfect wisdom and foresight, with his unlimited power and resources, does not need to change his purpose when once it has been determined. No unforeseen emergency can arise, no crafty enemy can make a surprise move or attack, causing Jehovah to alter his purpose. That does not mean, however, that Jehovah may not change the instrument that he chooses to use in the outworking of his purpose. It is such a change that we wish to examine in our next line of evidence respecting the Bible’s single, divine Authorship.

Even then, Jesus did not tell them of a change of instrument, or that they needed to alter their conception of things.

  • Joh 15:15

“No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, because all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you.

  • Then humans (men of watchtower) should stop writing things to interpret what's already truth and plain to see if they actually read it, with their whole heart and soul, and what was written for those oppressed, poverty common people.

  •  Jude 1:3

Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints.

  • Core tenants of Christianity don’t change, but they do change it.

  • 2Ti 3:16-17

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

  • Asserts that all scripture is breathed by God and sufficient for teaching and training etc.

  • Challenges the needs for ongoing revisions, or additional writings to explain itself.

  • Or the need for any governing body at all, all you need is the bible and the relationship with God.

  • They downplay critical thinking and personal bible study, if you read it teaches you something, but their commentary tells you are wrong and to believe the way they say they believe it.

  • They think they can't have holy spirit (or else why have 9-11 men tell you what to do, or have anointed at all, and because Jesus is not rank and file mediator so how can they have holy spirit?) but tell them each has a gift… the gift comes through the holy spirit.

  • Miss use of authority, they Lord over others 1Pe 5:3 "not domineering over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock. "

  •  Prov 4:18

"But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day. "

  • Read it from vs. 14 to get full context to 19. This doesn't mean some weird parable to understanding.

  • Pro 4:14-19

Do not enter the path of the wicked, and do not walk in the way of the evil. Avoid it; do not go on it; turn away from it and pass on. For they cannot sleep unless they have done wrong; they are robbed of sleep unless they have made someone stumble. For they eat the bread of wickedness and drink the wine of violence. But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day. The way of the wicked is like deep darkness; they do not know over what they stumble.

  • Its talking about the difference from those that love God and those that pretend to but lead believers to stumble. One goes through a godly transformation the other is dangerous and wicked.

  • That they the anointed faithful servant (the righteous) get the truth to tell they how to interpret

  • Why they need 1914, to push who the "special class" in 1919 by JR, to tell them what to do to begin with.

Digging into their way of researching.

  • Researchers quote mine to their confirmation bias while ignoring what they considered confirmation bias. Even though there was plenty of data on their opposing view, they marked it as not because of their narrative. This was mentioned from the only GB member (considered anointed mind you) that was disfellowshipped. IF that's hard to listen to, what would God do to point out this was a false religion? Perhaps start with the head people that say this is all wrong.

  • When they think they have the "truth" they can't even see their own bias.

  • They wrote toward a 4th-5th grade reading level usually until recent, now it seems even less.

  • To me its condescending, like they are talking to children, and to research more, they'll see it's how high control religions and heavy influenced groups (like how Disney gets adults to feel like children) will purposely speak to the followers.

Special pleading is an informal fallacy wherein one cites something as an exception to a general or universal principle, without justifying the special exception.[1][2][3][4][5] It is the application of a double standard.[6][7]

  • Used in watchtower and broadcast when they come up with a problem that will have heavy criticism. Like why they don’t have to apologize(Jeffrey Winder) about getting previous "new light" wrong but say to follow their new "new light".

  • When they say new doctrine, they don’t expand on why much. Just... That’s what it is and nvm why we thought it before, you shouldn't have taken it as truth to begin with.

What they tell their people

Instead of viewing most of these accounts as finding their application to only one class, whether the anointed or the great crowd, and to only one time period, God’s people of either class and from any time period can apply to themselves many of the lessons the accounts teach us. Thus, for example, we need not limit the application of the book of Job to the experiences the anointed endured during World War I. Many of God’s servants, both men and women, both of the anointed and of the great crowd, have undergone experiences such as Job faced and “have seen the outcome Jehovah gave, that Jehovah is very tender in affection and merciful.”—Jas. 5:11.

Consider: In our congregations today, do we not find older women as loyal as Deborah, fine young elders as wise as Elihu, courageous pioneers as zealous as Jephthah, and faithful men and women as patient as Job? How grateful we are that Jehovah preserved the record of “all the things that were written beforehand,” so that “through the comfort from the Scriptures we might have hope”!

So for these reasons our publications in recent years have emphasized the lessons we can learn from Bible accounts instead of trying to find typical and antitypical patterns and fulfillments.

Most Bible accounts, therefore, do not apply to only the anointed, the “other sheep,” or Christians during one specific time in history. Instead, most Bible accounts have benefited all of God’s servants, both in the past and present. For example, Job’s suffering does not represent only the suffering of the anointed during World War I. Many of God’s people, both men and women, both of the anointed and of the “other sheep,” have suffered like Job and have benefited from studying that account. They “have seen the outcome Jehovah gave, that Jehovah is very tender in affection and merciful.”—James 5:11.

In our congregations today, we find faithful older women who are loyal like Deborah, as well as young elders who are wise like Elihu. We also find pioneers who have zeal and courage similar to that of Jephthah, as well as faithful men and women who are patient like Job. We are very thankful that Jehovah made sure that “all the things that were written beforehand” are available for us today, so that “through the comfort from the Scriptures we might have hope”!

So for these reasons, we do not try to find a symbolic meaning or future fulfillment in every Bible account. Instead, our literature now focuses more on teaching valuable lessons from the Scriptures.

  • What's the difference?

In 1876, Russell adopted the belief promulgated by some Adventist preachers that Jesus' parousia, or presence, had begun in 1874 and that the gathering of the little flock preliminary to the grand climax was already in progress. Using a form of parallel dispensations that incorporated "types" and "antitypes"—historical situations that prefigured corresponding situations later in time[9]—he calculated the harvest would extend only to 1878, at which time the gathered saints would be translated into spirit form.[10][2] The year would also bring the beginning of the "exercise of power" of God's kingdom, with evidence that God's favor was returning to the Jews.[11]

The failure of Russell's prediction did not significantly alter the movement's short-term, date-focused orientation. In early 1881 Russell asserted that 1878 had, indeed, been a milestone year, marking the point at which "the nominal Christian churches were cast off from God's favor".[12]

The Watch Tower Society has acknowledged errors, which it said helped "sift" the unfaithful from its ranks, but says adherents remained confident that "God's Word" had not failed.[2]

  • To call them unfaithful is unwise, they discerned them to be liars and worked them up for nothing with fear and more works. In my opinion the ones who stayed had a different sort of faith…blind.

What this water baptism symbolized has always been clearly understood and explained by Jehovah’s witnesses, although there has been a change in terminology. In times past what we now call “dedication” used to be called “consecration.” It was called consecration, for instance, in the book by Charles Taze Russell entitled “The New Creation,” in which book the meaning of water baptism is explained, particularly with reference to those who make up the symbolic body of Christ, those who have the hope of heavenly life. In due time, however, in The Watchtower of May 15, 1952, two articles appeared on this subject. The leading article was entitled “Dedication to God and Consecration,” and the subsidiary article was entitled “Dedication for Life in the New World.” These articles showed that what was once called “consecration” was more properly termed “dedication.” Since that time the term “dedication” has been used.

Understanding of the symbolic meaning of water baptism had been broadened out previously to 1952 to include those of the “other sheep” class, those who have hopes of living forever in a paradise earth, as well as those of the anointed body of Christ. As stated on page 677 of the book entitled “‘Babylon the Great Has Fallen!’ God’s Kingdom Rules!”: “However, from 1934 onward the anointed remnant plainly pointed out that these ‘other sheep’ must now make a full dedication of themselves to God and symbolize this dedication by water baptism and then become fellow witnesses of Jehovah with his remnant.—See The Watchtower and Herald of Christ’s Presence, as of August 15, 1934, pages 249, 250, paragraphs 31-34.” Thus water baptism was extended to include the “other sheep” class. Its symbolic significance also continued to be correctly understood.

  • If they are told, by the spirit, what is wrong and right…why change? It was never for just one class it was for all who believed. Gentile and Jew. How did the holy spirit get it wrong? How is the holy spirit EVER WRONG?

  • They changed the meaning because that would go over the numbers of 144k.

  • And per serving the governing body, and how they feel about it, its dedication to serving them. Not be baptized and they are given holy spirit, or God dwells in them. It's commitment to serving with works to progress the mission of JW.ORG.

  • To say God speaks in due time, is wrong. If they can't have full understanding with the bible alone (at least for the Christian God), its worthless and they can make anything up for people to follow later. To do that is to add. If they can't grasp the whole narrative through the bible, then they can't trust the apostles and their letters, or scripture all together and might as well throw it out altogether, which, religion that says something like this, has officially done.

More on PS 4:1-27

(Because context matters)

  • This is hyper linking Joshua 1 and Ps 1 which are hyperlinks to one another and is symbolic poetry as a reminder and where to look elsewhere to get more descriptive while on our path of life. Below are other hyperlinks to following the path of darkness (without God), verses following a path of light (with God).

  • Instructions=walk the path with God who is the source of all light, not "you'll get new information later on, even though I sent messengers and messiah saying to test anyone giving you new information"

Psa_1:-6

Blessed is the person who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the Law of the LORD, And on His Law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season, And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers. The wicked are not so, But they are like chaff which the wind blows away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the wicked will perish.

Jos 1:6-9

“Be strong and courageous, for you shall give this people possession of the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. “Only be strong and very courageous; be careful to do according to all the Law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may achieve success wherever you go. “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will achieve success. “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be terrified nor dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

To the teaching and to the testimony! If they will not speak according to this word, it is because they have no dawn.

1Jn 2:8-11

On the other hand, I am writing a new commandment to you, which is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away and the true Light is already shining. The one who says that he is in the Light and yet hates his brother or sister is in the darkness until now. The one who loves his brother and sister remains in the Light, and there is nothing in him to cause stumbling. But the one who hates his brother or sister is in the darkness and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going because the darkness has blinded his eyes.

  • The light has already been given you just have to receive it.

1Jn 2:18-23

Children, it is the last hour; and just as you heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have appeared; from this we know that it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they were not really of us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but they went out, so that it would be evident that they all are not of us.But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you all know. I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it, and because no lie is of the truth. Who is the liar except the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father; the one who confesses the Son has the Father also.

  • No lie is of the truth, your flip flops and wrong times were lies.

  • If you deny Christ as your mediator, then what?

Psa 112:4

Light shines in the darkness for the upright; He is gracious, compassionate, and righteous.

Psa 119:105

Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.

Psa 119:130-131

The unfolding of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple. I opened my mouth wide and panted, For I longed for Your commandments.
