NOTE: I do not subscribe to any religion. I once believed in Masoretic Text translations until I dug deeper and came to a different conclusion during my search through Christian denominational teachings, their leaders, and the roots of how they started, while reading the Bible itself verse by verse a few times (many translations) or more to match up their beliefs to the spiritual book they claim to follow and believe in themselves. If you ask me what I believe, I would say what the scholarly census has agreed upon, even if the decision board doesn't agree with them because they're worried about the faith of humanity for what they were taught to believe despite it contradicting evidence. Anything I've studied, watched, read is added here to help you see how I got to this point to help others who are curious too.

(In their articles, I will not spell check. These are from their own literature and videos, followed by my raw notes in blue highlight)

  • This single (extremely long) post should be sufficient to show that they are unsuitable, yet their followers never see it this way. Even when the information comes directly from them and their own website. They dismiss it as fake news, whether it originates from the leader's mouth or their own literature. JW.org organized a purge, getting rid of all old books and early JW writings to conceal their past. This is just a fraction of what is known and can be verified, but I am tired, and to an ordinary JW member, none of this is relevant and is labeled as "hateful apostate material" anyway, so I'm not going to lengthen this list though I know I could easily. They refuse to examine these things because their leaders have instructed them not to, under the threat of losing everything/everyone/reputation. However, this is the main point I emphasize across all denominations, assessing actions is enough to help you decide whether you should join any group. So, here are their actions, regardless of whether the ordinary members choose to acknowledge them or not. Ignorance is a decision...and you do have a choice, regardless of the elderly men who claim to be your rulers (if you make it to the bottom, you'll understand that wording) that say to be co-dependent on their thinking and judgement even if it's wrong.

If you want more information, loads, and loads almost never ending, head over to JWfacts.com they really did a beautiful thorough job and all sourced. Way more professional than mine too. I can't help but put my opinion here and there, this stuff pisses me off to no end. It hurts people, and then those hurt people, hurt others and I'm feeling it and trying to grow from it all but it bubbles back up especially the more I find out. So, sorry if this is family, this wasn't to bash you, if anything to help you.

First, their get out of jail free cards to keep them clean from what we will see below.

  1. We are imperfect

How can they be Gods authority on earth than? Then anyone can be so.

  2. Wait on Jehovah

We are to take care of the flock and take action to those that say they are of God and are really not and stay sharp and discern righteously. Hence differences of the people on the right, and the people on the left parable.

  3. Leave it in Jehovah's hands

Or be honest and come clean and do what is right because it is right, since that would be acting in accordance to what Jesus said to do.

  4. Sometimes we get direction we don’t understand

Then that’s not the spirit of God or they need to step aside for someone who does. Or admit you shouldn't interpret anything.

  5. Look at what king David did

He also has a messiah he failed at being himself, Jesus. He knew he sinned evil enough to say it was sin and beg for forgiveness…doesn't mean we are allowed to copy him in sin. That’s like blaming a brother or shift blaming, acting like Adam did to Eve "She did it!" or blaming Jezebel as the Jews did to make themselves look better.

  6. The Governing body is neither inspired nor infallible

Then why are they in the spot of lording over anyone? Why is anyone even listening to them? Why are they lording at all when Jesus said specifically that is not how his kingdom works? As well as his apostles.

God is not the spirit of confusion or chaos and doesn't leave anyone in the dark and the scriptures stand alone and made for the meek.

Racist

Old but still…these are the foundations that explain today.

While it is true that the white race exhibits some quali

ties of superiority over any other, we are to remember that

there are wide differences in the same Caucasian ( Semitic and

Aryan) family; and also we should remember that some of

the qualities which have given this branch of the human

family its preeminence in the world are not such as can be

pointed to as in all respects admirable. Indeed we can not

but wonder whether if the Gospel had been sent into Asia in

stead of into Europe it might not have found amongst the

people of India a soil much more naturally adapted to the de

velopment of the peaceable fruits of righteousness. However,

that the Gospel was divinely directed into Europe is most

manifest (Acts 16: 6, 9 ), and sooner or later we shall see the

full meaning of this divine providence. Perhaps the Lord

intends to show that as typical Israel was a stiff-necked gen

eration, so also spiritual Israel will be taken from amongst

similar classes; and all the more show forth the power of

the truth, by taking the elect church chiefly from amongst

the most quarrelsome, aggressive, selfish anil dominating of

humanity, and transforming these through the power of the

truth into exemplifications of patience, humility, love and

peace. The secret of the greater intelligence and aptitude of

the Caucasian undoubtedly in great measure is to be attri

buted to the commingling of blood amongst its various

branches; and this was evidently forced in large measure by

circumstances under divine control. It remains to be proven

that the similar commingling of the various tribes of Chinese

for several centuries would not equally brighten their intel

lects; and the same with the peoples of India and Africa.

  • Notice not only no women in the "spiritually changed anointed class", but no black men either. Or of any other race. Never has it been updated.

  • There are many more, but I think that's just... enough.

Not helping others outside of them

19 Like the neighborly Samaritan in Jesus’ illustration, we want to help suffering people, including those who are not Witnesses. (Luke 10:33-37The best way to do so is by sharing the good news with them. “It is important to make clear right away that we are Jehovah’s Witnesses and that our primary mission is to help them spiritually, not materially,” notes an elder who has helped many refugees. “Otherwise, some may associate with us only for personal advantage.

  • Why they don’t help others. Taking the parable out of context, it was all material support. They are like Cain in this way. If one asks for a coat, give them two. The parable doesn't apply to them at all, there is nothing about sharing the good news, this is the way we give them the kingdom that is at hand like a preview. This guy from another country did what the Jews were supposed to do with the fallen fellow Jew. It wasn't strictly to only help your fellow chosen. It was the hypocrisy and humility to go out of your way even if they were not of your fold.

Faith Produces Fine Works

8. What is the situation of a person who says he has faith but lacks works?

8 Besides making us loving and merciful, faith produces other fine works. (James 2:14-26) Of course, professed faith that lacks works is not going to save us. True, we cannot earn a righteous standing with God by works of the Law. (Romans 4:2-5) James is talking about works motivated, not by a law code, but by faith and love. If we are moved by such qualities, we will not merely express kind wishes for a needy fellow worshiper. We will give material aid to an unclad or hungry brother or sister. James asks: ‘If you tell a needy brother: “Go in peace, keep warm and well fed” but do not provide the necessities, of what benefit is that?’ None. (Job 31:16-22) Such “faith” is lifeless!

9. What shows that we have faith?

9 We may be associating with God’s people to some extent, but only wholehearted works can back up our claim that we have faith. It is fine if we have rejected the Trinity doctrine and believe that there is one true God. Yet, mere belief is not faith. “The demons believe,” and they “shudder” fearfully because destruction awaits them. If we truly have faith, it will move us to produce such works as preaching the good news and providing food and clothing for needy fellow believers. James asks: “Do you care to know, O empty man [not filled with accurate knowledge of God], that faith apart from works is inactive?” Yes, faith calls for action.

THEY HATE CRITICAL THINKERS

First

The credulous are unable to bear the burden of thinking, of weighing evidence and of following logically from causes to effects. They go by emotion, by feeling, sentimentality or fear. They believe because of inclination, prejudice, circumstances or hope of reward, and so are subjective instead of objective in religious matters.

In striking contrast with such, the Christian bases his faith on sound authorities and clear reasoning. His faith consists of knowledge and confident reliance upon it, being “the assured expectation of things hoped for, the evident demonstration of realities though not beheld.” (Heb. 11:1NW) Faith views the evidence objectively, in love of the truth, and so swallows neither the unsupported assertions of “scientists” nor the traditions peculiar to organized religion.

God expects us to reason, to think. That is why he counsels, “Come now, and let us reason together.” And why Paul wrote Timothy, “Give constant thought to what I am saying.” “Ponder over these things.”Isa. 1:18; 2 Tim. 2:7; 1 Tim. 4:15NW.

It is because of his lack of knowledge based on sound authority and clear reasoning that the credulous person says: “I never argue religion.” But the person with a sound basis for his religion can discuss it with others, and in fact is urged to do so, ‘to be always ready to make a defense to everyone that demands of him a reason for the hope that is in him.’ He follows the example of Paul who searched out the Jews at their synagogues where he “reasoned with them from the Scriptures, explaining and proving by references that it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead.”—1 Pet. 3:15; Acts 17:2, 3NW.

It is true that there has been some encouragement given to Catholic priests and educators to use the Bible more frequently, but very little has been done to follow up on it. How often have you heard your priest encourage the reading of the Bible?

Nevertheless, God has provided his inspired Word so that people might read it and thus become “fully equipped and ready for any good work.” (2 Tim. 3:17Jerusalem Bible) How good it would be for every Catholic to make full use of this divinely provided gift!

But is the Bible really too difficult to understand? Must one be specially educated to appreciate the truths contained in God’s Word? Not at all.

Concerning Peter and John, two of Jesus’ twelve apostles, we read: “They [the rulers, elders and scribes of the Jews] were astonished at the assurance shown by Peter and John, considering they were uneducated laymen.”—Acts 4:13Jerusalem Bible.

“Uneducated laymen.” Those were the persons who walked with Jesus, and whom he trained and sent out to teach others. They understood the Word of God correctly. You can, too, if you do not give up.

Now…

"Thinking ability is not to be confused with independent thinking, which Satan promotes"

  • They want you co-dependent on them on every choice you ever make.

17 So, then, let us ‘bless Jehovah and never forget all the doings of the One who crowns our life with loving-kindness and mercies.’ (Psalm 103:2-4) If we always remember our loving God and act in harmony with his Word, we will maintain strong confidence in his unfailing leadership. (Proverbs 22:19) To turn away from Jehovah and his organization, to spurn the direction of “the faithful and discreet slave,” and to rely simply on personal Bible reading and interpretation is to become like a solitary tree in a parched land.

Break down with notes

OBEDIENT TO THEOCRATIC REPRESENTATION

10, 11. In what way should New World policies and principles and the “faithful and discreet slave” class be viewed?

10 Newcomers must learn to fall in line with the principles and policies of the New World society and to act in harmony with them, so that all may function smoothly for the welfare and blessing of all within the organization, to the glory of God the Father. Sometimes it becomes rather difficult for some of our new associates to make this change. They are prone to be a little rebellious or unruly.

  • Because they question things?

But to become genuinely a part of the New World society it is imperative that proper respect for theocratic arrangement and order be shown. A humble, obedient mental attitude is required.

  • Do not question anything and you'll do just fine and do what you are told.

We cannot permit dispositions and trends of the old world to influence our thinking and actions once we have come into the New World organization.

  • Do not think.

The old world we have left behind, so why not leave it all behind for all time?

  • We are supposed to share the light and be the light of the world.

Why try to drag its policies and methods into the New World arrangement? Its policies have not benefited the old world; how will they be of any value to the new?

  • It keeps religions/denominations/organizations under "god" from hiding child sex abuse and to protect human rights within them. Especially if they no longer believe the doctrine because we have freedom of religion.

Only by a conscientious effort of making over our minds, by refusing to be fashioned after this system of things, shall we be able to prove to ourselves the good and acceptable and complete will of God.Rom. 12:2NW.

  • Do it their way or you'll die outside of us. Fear monger.

11 Since the “faithful and discreet slave” has been entrusted with all the Master’s goods, then let us view with proper mental perception that whatever the ‘faithful slave’ does is for our good.

  • Don’t think, just do what you're told, we know what you need. You're too stupid.

The slave is thereby fulfilling its own obligation before Jehovah in getting His work done. Therefore the slave’s will is Jehovah’s will. Rebellion against the slave is rebellion against God. A proper mental attitude toward the slave’s direction is a part of keeping pace with the New World society.

  • Calling themselves equal to God.

12. Why is the road of the “freethinker” dangerous to follow?

12 A tendency among the rising generation is to exalt individuality—“freethinking,” they call it.

  • Thought stop and shaming for being someone capable for thinking for themselves instead of fully relying in codependency on them.

The “freethinker” expresses an individual desire for independence. He resists being “tied down” to any set rule or regulation. He has his own way of doing things, which to him always appears better. Submission to theocratic authority or representation becomes hard for him. He feels cramped for space, as if he were hemmed in on all sides by instructions. Everyone in the New World society is out of step but him. He always seems to know a better way for things to be done. His course is one puffed up with pride and self-esteem. If he is not careful to rectify his waywardness, “big-headedness,” his pride will lead him to a disgraceful fall.

  • What they want you to believe, when they are literally "critically thinking" because that's what the bible wants us to do, and states it over and over.

Better always to recognize in the Scriptural way the theocratic arrangement that brought us the truth and to fall in line with it than to resist its direction simply because at times we do not understand why things are done the way they are. “Trust in Jehovah with all thy heart, and lean not upon thine own understanding: in all thy ways acknowledge him, and he will direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes; fear Jehovah, and depart from evil.”

  • Taking this verse out of context, it's to go to the word of God, not man.

  • "fall in line", don’t question because you don’t understand why things are done the way they are. When most likely, they're being asked, why are you going against what the bible says.

  • By making a man-made religion with your own torah and laws?

“Pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. Better it is to be of a lowly spirit with the poor, than to divide the spoil with the proud.” Let these words suffice.

  • Laying a threat down.

13. How do the Scriptures show the need for obedience to and respect for theocratic representation?

13 Obedience to and respect for theocratic representation are a requirement in Jehovah’s organization.

  • Only them.

“Let the older men who preside in a right way be reckoned worthy of double honor, especially those who work hard in speaking and teaching.” (1 Tim. 5:17NW) Jehovah is responsible for the organization of his creatures and delegates power and authority to these and directs what honor should be given them. “Now God has set the members in the body, each one of them, just as he pleased.” Earthly overseers represent Jehovah in their assignment just as much as heavenly ones do. “Be in subjection to one another in fear of Christ. Let wives be in subjection to their husbands as to the Lord, . . . In fact, as the congregation is in subjection to the Christ, so let wives also be to their husbands in everything. . . . The wife should have deep respect for her husband.” This demonstrates the need for order and respect within the Christian congregation for delegated authority.1 Cor. 12:18; Eph. 5:21-33NW.

  • The rest of the verse is how husbands are to do the same.

  • They seem to do this to make their men feel powerful, prideful, and haughty, which is a problem with a lot of Christian denominations.

14-16. (a) How is respect for theocratic representation illustrated in Zechariah’s case? (b) In the case of Paul with the high priest Ananias? (c) In the case of David and King Saul? (d) Michael the archangel and the Devil?

14 When Gabriel told Zechariah that he was to have a son, Zechariah did not believe the angel. Zechariah showed lack of respect through disbelief. Therefore the angel said to him: “I am Gabriel, who stands near before God, and I was sent forth to speak with you and declare the good news of these things to you. But, look! you will be silent and not able to speak until the day that these things take place, because you did not believe my words. Just the same, they will be fulfilled in their appointed time.” Gabriel was Jehovah’s representative. His words were not to be questioned. Disrespect to this authority brought a severe punishment from God.Luke 1:19, 20NW.

  • You are not to question what they say, or else.

  • Rev 13:15

And it was given to him to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast would even speak and cause all who do not worship the image of the beast to be killed.

15 When Ananias ordered that Paul be slapped on the mouth, Paul said to him: “God is going to strike you, you whitewashed wall. Do you at one and the same time sit to judge me in accord with the Law and, transgressing the Law, command me to be struck?” Those standing by said: “Are you reviling the high priest of God?” Paul then apologized, saying: “Brothers, I did not know he was high priest. For it is written, ‘You must not speak injuriously of a ruler of your people.’” On other occasions before kings and rulers of this world, Paul was always very careful to show due respect. How much more so should we be respectful to those to whom Jehovah delegates authority!Acts 23:1-5NW.

  • I personally read that as sarcasm from Paul.

  • This is also saying obey them or else, even a true believer up against false ones as they were.

16 King Saul threatened David’s life on many occasions. Yet, when it was within David’s reach to take Saul’s life, he said: “Who can put forth his hand against Jehovah’s anointed, and be guiltless?” David displayed fear of God and deep respect for his appointees by refusing to lay a hand on Saul.

  • They are literally taking the side of the people that were rejected.

(1 Sam. 26:9; Ps. 105:14, 15AS) Jude draws a contrast between the conduct of persons like men of Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities about them and that of Michael. Of the wicked, he said: “These men, too, indulging in dreams, are defiling the flesh and disregarding lordship and speaking abusively of glorious ones.

  • Us vs. them

On the other hand, when Michael the archangel had a difference with the Devil and was disputing about Moses’ body, he did not dare to bring a judgment against him in abusive terms, but said: ‘May Jehovah rebuke you.’ Yet these men are speaking abusively of all the things they really do not know, but all the things they do understand naturally like the unreasoning animals, in these things they go on corrupting themselves.”

  • Taking verse out of context

Peter launched a similar charge against the disrespectful and lawless: “Daring, self-willed, they do not tremble at glorious ones but speak abusively, whereas angels, although they are greater in strength and power, do not bring against them an accusation in abusive terms, not doing so out of respect for Jehovah. But these men, like unreasoning animals born naturally to be caught and destroyed, will, in the things of which they are ignorant and speak abusively, even suffer destruction in their own course of destruction, wronging themselves as a reward for wrongdoing.”—Jude 8-11; 2 Pet. 2:6-13NW.

  • You cannot speak out…at all.

17, 18. What serious consequences of showing disrespect to authority are highlighted in the cases of Ananias and his wife Sapphira, Korah, Miriam and Aaron?

17 The faithful servant will be careful to show due respect to authority at all times, appreciating that these representatives speak in the name of Jehovah.

  • Appreciating falsehood even.

When Ananias and Sapphira lied to Peter, the apostle told them: “You have played false, not to men, but to God.” They paid with their lives for this lack of respect to Jehovah and his representative.

  • Fear monger up to death.

Korah rebelled against the leadership of Moses and Aaron, but Moses showed that Korah’s disrespect was more far-reaching than that. Moses said: “By this you will know that Jehovah has sent me to do all these deeds, that it is not of my own heart: If it is according to the death of all mankind that these people will die and with the punishment of all mankind that punishment will be brought upon them, then it is not Jehovah that has sent me. But if it is something created that Jehovah will create and the ground has to distend its mouth and swallow up them and everything that belongs to them and they have to go down alive into Sheol, then you will certainly know that these men have treated Jehovah disrespectfully.” By their rebellious conduct, Korah and his cohorts “sinned against their own souls.” Such men oppose, not men, but God.Acts 5:1-6; Num. 16:1-38; Acts 5:38, 39NW.

  • Fear monger to follow us or else.

18 The serious consequences of showing disrespect are also highlighted in the case of Miriam and Aaron, who disregarded Moses as Jehovah’s chosen spokesman: “Is it just by Moses alone that Jehovah has spoken?” they asked. “Is it not by us also that he has spoken?” For their untheocratic behavior

  • Your character.

Miriam was struck with leprosy. Only because of their repentant attitude and Moses’ intercession in her behalf was Miriam cleansed.

  • Saved by them, they keep taking the place of Jesus.

Yet, Jehovah’s displeasure at Miriam’s conduct is evident in His words to Moses: “Were her father to spit directly in her face, would she not be humiliated seven days? Let her be quarantined seven days outside the camp and afterward let her be received in.” Both brothers and sisters should take to heart a warning from this, that to speak abusively or disrespectfully of authority, Jehovah’s representatives, is a sin serious enough to remove one “outside the camp,” the theocratic organization. Let it be known that “it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”Num. 12:1-15; Heb. 10:31NW.

  • Fear mongering and threatening.

IMPARTIAL GOD

19. Why is it not advisable to look at faulty man of flesh?

19 Peter declared that Jehovah “is not partial, but in every nation the man that fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him.” Therefore, dispose of old-world ideas that Jehovah’s organization is filled with “favorites.” There are no favorites.

  • They literally keep the kingdom to only their 1 class out of two.

If you fear him and do works of righteousness, then you are his favorite as much as anyone else.

  • Nothing about, have faith, but fear monger and work based.

In the congregation, servants are chosen for their qualifications and ability to serve.

  • Not by character of belief.

The congregation should show them the respect befitting their assignment, because this is Jehovah’s means of dealing with you and you with Him.

  • "dealing with you and you with him" sounds like a guilt trip of some sort, to make a person sound like a burden, or a child.

Do not weaken your theocratic relationship by stumbling over the “flesh” you may not personally like.

  • Do not use "discernment" toward the men that lead you.

Because, says Paul: “From now on we know no man according to the flesh. Even if we have known Christ according to the flesh, certainly we now know him so no more. Consequently, if anyone is in union with Christ, he is a new creation; the old things passed away, look! new things have come into existence.” If we are prone to look at any faulty man of flesh, that will tend to lessen our appreciation for his theocratic position, his responsibility as Jehovah’s slave.

  • Taking this out of context, and to believe in OSAS?

If we see this principle of theocratic representation clearly, we will not insist on our own rights and interests, but will follow the wise counsel of Jehovah’s appointees.

  • Like human rights? Like sexual abuse or shunning children?

These are “gifts in men” from Jehovah. They will help us work out our salvation to the honor of God and to the vindication of his great and holy name. —Acts 10:34, 35; 2 Cor. 5:16, 17; Eph. 4:8NW.

  • Blasphemous, they reject Jesus here.

20. What, then, does it mean to keep pace with the New World society?

20 Therefore, to keep pace with the New World society means many things for us. It means a life of dedication, self-sacrifice, being wholly and unreservedly devoted to Jehovah God as Christ Jesus was and now is. It means for us to get rid of old-world habits and conform ourselves to Jehovah’s requirements. It means recognizing the “faithful and discreet slave,” and showing due respect to those in authority. It means ‘proving ourselves what we really are.’ In substance this all means to “observe the commandment in a spotless and irreprehensible way.”2 Cor. 13:5; 1 Tim. 6:14NW.

  • Their law over us is God's law.

21. How will keeping pace with the New World society benefit us?

21 If we do this, we shall mature by Jehovah’s undeserved kindness.

  • Grace. The free gift with no strings attached, or at least not followed with guilt trips.

We shall become aware of the bountiful blessing it is to keep in step with his organization. We shall thrill in theocratic expansion. We shall glow with the spirit at the increase of knowledge and understanding. We shall reap with joy what we have sown. Our conviction will be strong, our faith immovable, our appreciation deep, our joy will abound with the full assurance that we are in step with the New World society of God, whose guidance and direction not only will feed us well spiritually in the last days of this old world, but will keep us alive on into the New World of righteousness and for evermore.

  • Your life depends on these men.

  • Be prideful instead of sharing the light.

"We have the opportunity to show love for our brothers who take the lead in the congregation or in connection with Jehovah's visible organization worldwide. This includes being loyal to "the faithful and discreet slave." (Matthew 24:45-47) Let us face the fact that no matter how much Bible reading we have done, we would never have learned the truth on our own. We would not have discovered the truth regarding Jehovah, his purposes and attributes, the meaning and importance of his name, the Kingdom, Jesus' ransom, the difference between God's organization and Satan's, nor why God has permitted wickedness." How Can We Respond Unselfishly to God’s Love? — Watchtower ONLINE LIBRARY (jw.org)

5 How do false teachers operate? Their methods reveal a cunning spirit. Apostates “quietly bring in” corruptive ideas. Like smugglers, they operate in a clandestine manner, subtly introducing apostate views. And just as a clever forger tries to pass phony documents, so apostates use “counterfeit words,” or false arguments, trying to pass their fabricated views as if they were true. They spread “deceptive teachings,” “twisting . . . the Scriptures” to fit their own ideas. (2 Pet. 2:1, 3, 13; 3:16) Clearly, apostates do not have our best interests at heart. Following them would only divert us from the road that leads to eternal life.

6. The Bible gives us what clear counsel regarding false teachers?

6 How can we protect ourselves against false teachers? The Bible’s counsel regarding how to deal with them is clear. (Read Romans 16:17; 2 John 9-11.) “Avoid them,” says God’s Word. Other translations render that phrase “turn away from them,” “keep away from them,” and “stay away from them!” There is nothing ambiguous about that inspired counsel. Suppose that a doctor told you to avoid contact with someone who is infected with a contagious, deadly disease. You would know what the doctor means, and you would strictly heed his warning. Well, apostates are “mentally diseased,” and they seek to infect others with their disloyal teachings. (1 Tim. 6:3, 4) Jehovah, the Great Physician, tells us to avoid contact with them. We know what he means, but are we determined to heed his warning in all respects?

  • This entire article is literally projection with what they do to scripture and how they use "phony documents" "counterfeit words" "false arguments", you can even have a conversation or debate because what they believe is wrapped in different meanings and stories that don’t match clean scripture.

  • Anyone questioning and trying to show them are "mentally diseased"?

  • Is this projection?

All of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not. (4) Now is the time for any who may be putting their trust in secular education, material things, or human institutions to adjust their thinking. The elders must stand ready to help any who may now be wavering in their faith.

  • Using the brain God gave us is a no no.

Yet there are some who point out that the organization has had to make adjustments before, and so they argue: “This shows that we have to make up our own mind on what to believe.” This is independent thinking. Why is it so dangerous?

20. (a) Of what is independent thinking an evidence? (b) What will help us to avoid placing our own views ahead of the organization’s? (c) What first-century example is it well for us to follow?

20 Such thinking is an evidence of pride. And the Bible says: “Pride is before a crash, and a haughty spirit before stumbling.” (Proverbs 16:18) If we get to thinking that we know better than the organization, we should ask ourselves: “Where did we learn Bible truth in the first place? Would we know the way of the truth if it had not been for guidance from the organization? Really, can we get along without the direction of God’s organization?” No, we cannot!

  • How did these people then even consider joining in the first place?

We need to guard against developing a spirit of independence. By word or action, may we never challenge the channel of communication that Jehovah is using today. (Num. 16:1-3) On the contrary, we should cherish our privilege to cooperate with the slave class. And should we not strive to be obedient and submissive to those taking the lead in our local congregation?

THE DANGERS

Avoiding unprofitable questions involves more than saving time. It may save your life. By listening to the speculations of Hymenaeus and Philetus about the resurrection, some fell away from the faith. By listening to some individual’s pet theory about what happened in the past or will happen in the future, you could misunderstand Jehovah’s purpose and conclude that you no longer wanted to share in that purpose. One could find himself following man-made philosophy instead of Christ. (Col. 2:8) And these are not the only dangers associated with unprofitable questions.

A Christian who indulges in speculation from the platform or in group Bible study tends to attract undue attention to himself. Personal theories can cause division of thought and even lead to disputes about trifles. Ones newly associated with Jehovah’s congregation might be stumbled by what would appear to be a lack of love and unity. By setting up hypothetical situations and then speculating on the answers to problems posed thereby, are we not in fact adding to Jehovah’s words? In matters that involve our everlasting life it is not prudent to judge or conclude from slight indications or merely probable grounds. We cannot worship Jehovah in spirit and in truth if our worship is based on speculation.

  • They know what they are doing because they projected it here.

16 During your study, avoid the approach common to many so-called Bible scholars. They focus excessively on analyzing texts as if the Bible were of human origin. Some of them try to fix a distinct audience for each book or to conjure up an objective and supposed viewpoint that a human author of each book had in mind. The effect of such human reasoning may be that of relegating Bible books to mere history or viewing them as reflecting evolutionary approaches to religion. Other scholars give themselves over to word studies, like the philology of Bible literature. They get more involved in studying word origins and citing Hebrew and Greek meanings than in the import of God’s message. Do you think that such approaches are likely to impart deep and motivating faith?—1 Thessalonians 2:13.

17. Why should we view the Bible as having a message for all?

17 Are the scholars’ conclusions even valid? Is it true that each Bible book has but one key point or is intended for one audience exclusively? (1 Corinthians 1:19-21) The fact is that the books of God’s Word have permanent value for people of all ages and backgrounds. Even if a book was initially addressed to one person, such as Timothy or Titus, or to a particular group, perhaps the Galatians or the Philippians, all of us can and should study those books. They are important for every one of us, and a given book may treat many themes and benefit many audiences. Yes, the message of the Bible is universal, which helps us to understand why it has been translated into the tongues of people around the globe.—Romans 15:4.

  • Then who are they when they say they are men of err and not inspired or infallible? And also say on their page they are not the only spokesperson but constantly say "….and organization…and organization" and "the Truth" (obviously pushing they are), that make mistakes and don't have to apologize. They offend those that are there as critical bible scholars seeking God and actual truth. How else do they have half (or even thanks to C.R. their founder) of their understanding of any part of that bible, the people they misquote from to find support for their doctrine?

  • This is thought stop and shaming for those trying to seek a better understanding especially when things are NOT lining up. This is to steer your brain to their dogma and keep it there instead of challenge it like how the book of Daniel was forged, got history wrong even when written 2nd century with the backup of dead sea scrolls to prove it. Their main book they need for 1914.

12 Humility will help us to meet the requirement of being in subjection. At Ephesians 5:21, we are counseled: “Be in subjection to one another in fear of Christ.” Really, do not all of us need to be in subjection? Children need to be subject to their parents, wives to their husbands, and husbands to the Christ. (1 Corinthians 11:3; Ephesians 5:22; 6:1) Then, in any Christian congregation, all, including the ministerial servants, have to show subjection to the elders. Is it not also true that elders are in subjection to the faithful slave class, especially as represented by the circuit overseer? Then again, the circuit overseer needs to be in subjection to the district overseer, and the district overseer to the Branch Committee of the land where he is serving. What about the Branch Committee members? They must be “in subjection to one another” and also to the Governing Body representing the faithful and discreet slave class, which, in turn, is accountable to Jesus, the enthroned King. (Matthew 24:45-47) As in any body of elders, members of the Governing Body have to respect the others’ points of view. For example, one may think he has a fine idea. But unless a sufficient number of the other members agree with his suggestion, he just has to put the matter aside. Truly, all of us need humility, for all of us are in subjection.

13, 14. (a) In what particular circumstance will humility help us? (b) What example did Peter set in regard to accepting counsel?

13 Especially is humility seen to be the course of wisdom in that humility makes it easier for us to accept counsel and discipline. Each of us needs discipline at times, and we do well to heed the counsel at Proverbs 19:20:

  • Humility is to shut up and bow down to them, so you can be disciplined by old men at top. If they were serving Jesus, and actually meant to the on top, they'd be serving the congregation, and putting themselves lower than them to be "greater in heaven".

9 As we study the Bible we learn that Jehovah has always guided his servants in an organized way. And just as in the first century there was only one true Christian organization, so today Jehovah is using only one organization. (Ephesians 4:4, 5; Matthew 24:45-47) Yet there are some who point out that the organization has had to make adjustments before, and so they argue: “This shows that we have to make up our own mind on what to believe.” This is independent thinking.

Really, can we get along without the direction of God’s organization?” No, we cannot!—Compare Acts 15:2, 28, 29; 16:4, 5.

21. (a) How only can we win in our fight? (b) What must we never forget, and so what kind of life do we now need to lead?

21 When we consider the mighty spirit forces who are fighting against us, we must acknowledge that on our own we could not possibly win. Yet with God’s backing, and with the help and support of his organization—our worldwide association of brothers—we cannot lose. (Psalm 118:6-12; 1 Peter 5:9) However, we must never forget that we are in a spiritual war, and that wartime is no time to be relaxing, enjoying only leisure and the pleasures of life. Rather, it is the time for vigorous training, alertness and self-sacrifice. The enemy has been able to get some from among us to relax their guard, and these have become battle casualties. May this never happen to us! It will not if we keep on “the complete suit of armor from God” and “stand firm against the [crafty acts] of the Devil.”—Ephesians 6:11, 12.

Do Jehovah’s Witnesses Pressure People to Change Religions?

No, we do not. We have stated in our principal magazine, The Watchtower: “Pressuring people to change their religion is wrong.” a We avoid pressuring people for the following reasons:

The article footnoted

15 Pressuring people to change their religion is wrong. Certainly, Jehovah’s Witnesses do not act in such a way.b Hence, they do not proselytize in the modern meaning of the word. Rather, like the first-century Christians, they preach the good news to everyone. Any who respond voluntarily are invited to take in more knowledge by means of a Bible study. Such interested ones learn to put faith, solidly based on accurate Bible knowledge, in God and his purposes. As a result, they call on God’s name, Jehovah, for salvation. (Romans 10:13, 14, 17) Whether they will accept the good news or not is a matter of personal choice. There is no compulsion. If there were, conversion would be meaningless. To be acceptable to God, worship must come from the heart.—Deuteronomy 6:4, 5; 10:12.

  • Though you are shunned if you do not believe what they believe and express it, if they don't already remove you.

  • "accurate"?

The right to change religions is supported by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which the United Nations has called “the foundation of international human rights law.” That document states that everyone has the “freedom to change his religion or belief” and “to seek, receive and impart information and ideas,” including religious ideas. c Of course, these rights carry with them the obligation to respect the rights of others both to maintain their beliefs and to reject ideas that they disagree with.

disfellowshiped person is cut off from the congregation, and the congregation has nothing to do with him. Those in the congregation will not extend the hand of fellowship to this one, nor will they so much as say “Hello” or “Good-bye” to him. He is not welcome in their private homes, even if such home serves as a center of worship for a local group of Jehovah’s witnesses. This is in harmony with Scriptural principles

(continuation)

Therefore the members of the congregation will not associate with the disfellowshiped one, either in the Kingdom Hall or elsewhere. They will not converse with such one or show him recognition in any way. If the disfellowshiped person attempts to talk to others in the congregation, they should walk away from him. In this way he will feel the full import of his sin. Otherwise, if all communicated freely with the offender, he would be tempted to feel that his transgression was not such a terrible thing. If it occurs that someone visiting in the congregation or at a larger assembly is not aware that a person has been disfellowshiped and attempts to talk to that one, other brothers observing will tactfully inform him of the situation. Also, the disfellowshiped person who wants to do what is right should inform any approaching him in innocence that he is disfellowshiped and they should not be conversing with him.

There is another aspect to the need for those in the congregation to cooperate with the committee responsible for taking the disfellowshiping action. What this is 2 John 11 makes clear: “For he that says a greeting to him is a sharer in his wicked works.” Yes, one’s attitude toward a person cut off from the congregation shows his attitude toward Jehovah’s righteous principles. When one ignores the disfellowshiping action and continues his association with the disfellowshiped person, then it shows a bad attitude toward Jehovah’s laws. He, in effect, is showing that he upholds the offender and thinks Jehovah’s righteous laws are of no account. The seriousness of not abiding by the disfellowshiping procedure can be seen when he is called “a sharer” in the wicked works of the one disfellowshiped. Actually, the one who deliberately does not abide by the congregation’s decision puts himself in line to be disfellowshiped for continuing to associate with such one. Since he is classified the same as the one disfellowshiped, “a sharer,” then it is reasonable for the same action to be taken against this dissenter. He too can be cut off from Jehovah’s favor and from his visible organization.

  • How is it scriptural then to do this, and now, its scriptural to not do this per changed policy now in video below that's coming up?

Thus we have established from the Bible itself the basic position of a faithful Christian toward a disfellowshiped one—have no fellowship at all with him, not even speaking with him.

23 The apostle who gave that wise warning was close to Jesus and knew well what Christ had said about greeting others. He also knew that the common greeting of that time was “Peace.” As distinct from some personal “enemy” or worldly man in authority who opposed Christians, a disfellowshiped or disassociated person who is trying to promote or justify his apostate thinking or is continuing in his ungodly conduct is certainly not one to whom to wish “Peace.” (1 Tim. 2:1, 2) And we all know from our experience over the years that a simple “Hello” to someone can be the first step that develops into a conversation and maybe even a friendship. Would we want to take that first step with a disfellowshiped person?

Now our loyalty is on the line, not to that person, but to God. Jehovah is watching us to see whether we will abide by his command not to have contact with anyone who is disfellowshipped.

  • So now they are led to be "disloyal" to their god? Are they lying?

  • Guilt tripping and causing paranoia.

  • Why it's good to them.

  • All of a sudden using scripture to back it up after they said Catholics "claim, is based on the teachings of Christ and apostles..."

  •  If this wasn't the truth during the building of the foundations of their church, then how is it the truth now, when they admit it wasn't scriptural, and now is? You can't brush it off as "new light", or "old stuff", and if it’s the truth now, then Catholics have been "in the truth" wayyyyyyyyyy longer than they have.

Despite our pain of heart, we must avoid normal contact with a disfellowshipped family member by telephone, text messages, letters, e-mails, or social media. Yet, maintain hope. Love “hopes all things,” including that those who have left Jehovah will come back to him. (1 Cor. 13:7) If you see evidence that a close family member is having a change of heart, you could pray that he or she gain strength from the Scriptures and respond to Jehovah’s appeal: “Return to me.” (Isa. 44:22) Jesus said that if we were to put any human before him, we would not be worthy of him. Yet, he was confident that his disciples would have the courage to maintain their loyalty to him despite family opposition. If following Jesus has brought “a sword” into your family, rely on Jehovah to help you deal with the challenges successfully. (Isa. 41:10, 13) Find joy in knowing that Jehovah and Jesus are pleased with you and that they will reward your faithful course. w17.10 16 ¶19-21

Decisions on Denial of State Subsidies and Loss of Registrations for Jehovah's Witnesses: Adjustments in Jehovah's Witnesses’ Religious Practice Regarding Limited Contact with a Person Removed from the Congregation

We are writing to you concerning the ongoing legal case that will be heard by the Borgarting Court of Appeal in February 2024 regarding the validity of administrative decisions based on Jehovah's Witnesses' religious teaching about limiting contact with a person who has been removed from the congregation or who has voluntarily withdrawn. We would like to inform you about a recent, worldwide adjustment in our religious practice in this area.

The doctrinal adjustment was published worldwide in the study edition of The Watchtower from August 2024.

The main adjustments can be summarized as follows:

    • Removal from the congregation remains a last resort. Before considering whether someone should be removed from the congregation, the elders will hold several meetings with the person who has committed a serious sin, in an effort to help him or her restore their relationship with God.

    • When informing an unrepentant sinner that they will be removed from the congregation, the elders will explain that they would like to meet with them again in a few months. If the person is willing to have a new meeting, the elders will warmly encourage them to repent and return. Even if the person has not changed their attitude at that time, the elders will contact them periodically in the future.

    • If a baptized minor commits a serious sin, two elders will have a discussion with the minor and his or her Christian parents or guardians to understand what the parents have already done to help the child make the necessary changes and repent. If the minor has a positive attitude and the parents manage to reach him or her, the two elders may decide that no further action is necessary. It is the parents who have a biblical responsibility to lovingly correct their children. Consequently, it will be even rarer for a baptized minor who has committed a serious sin to be removed from the congregation.

We would like to emphasize that in the very rare case where a baptized minor would be removed from the congregation, family life and household interactions will continue. Because the parents have a biblical and moral obligation to care for their minor children, they will continue to be responsible for providing for their physical and emotional needs.

    • Congregation members may choose to invite a person who has been removed from the congregation or has withdrawn to a congregation meeting. They may also choose to greet the person and welcome them to the meeting. If the person expresses a desire to return to the congregation, the elders may also arrange for someone in the congregation to study the Bible with them, even if they have not yet been reinstated. A person removed from the congregation or who has chosen to withdraw may be reinstated within a few months if they demonstrate genuine repentance.

We wish to remind you that Jehovah's Witnesses believe in the Bible’s guidance that believers should limit contact with someone who has been removed from the congregation or has withdrawn (see, for example, 1 Corinthians 5:11-13). The exact extent of this limited contact will depend on each individual’s personal circumstances and conscience. Regardless of circumstances, Jehovah’s Witnesses believe the Bible encourages us to show love and respect for all people, including those who previously shared our faith. Within the same household, there is no change in social contact. Marriage and family life will continue as before.

Based on the above, we hereby request that you reconsider your decision of September 30, 2022, in the appeal case regarding the denial of state subsidies for 2022, as well as the decisions of the County Governor on January 27, 2022, December 22, 2022, November 7, 2023, and June 18, 2024, regarding Jehovah's Witnesses' right to state subsidies and registration as a religious community under the Religious Communities Act. In this regard, we refer to the Public Administration Act § 35, second paragraph, cf. the first paragraph, concerning the alteration of an appeal decision.

We would like to request feedback on this letter and the above request without undue delay, in accordance with § 11a of the Public Administration Act. If possible, we kindly request a response within three weeks from the date of this letter, by November 14, 2024. If you have any questions regarding the information in this letter or our religious practices, please feel free to contact us.

    Sincerely,

    Jørgen PedersenChairman

Child abuse

What they tell their people

Think of the heartbreak of parents who have discovered, too late, that their children have been abused by trusted clergymen, teachers, or even close family members. It would be good for you as a parent to ask yourself, ‘Does my church tolerate or cover up child abuse? Is my religion holding firmly to high moral principles?’ Answers to such questions could help you to make wise choices in protecting your children.

  • They condemn other churches but not themselves, instead they go lengths to hide it.

But what if the report is about someone who is a part of the congregation and the matter then becomes known in the community? Should the Christian who reported it feel that he has brought reproach on God’s name? No. The abuser is the one who brings reproach on God’s name.

15-16. (a) According to 1 Timothy 5:19, why are at least two witnesses required before the elders take judicial action? (b) What do elders do when they learn that someone in the congregation is accused of child abuse?

15 In the congregation, before the elders take judicial action, why are at least two witnesses required? This requirement is part of the Bible’s high standard of justice. When there is no confession of wrongdoing, two witnesses are required to establish the accusation and authorize the elders to take judicial action. (Deut. 19:15; Matt. 18:16read 1 Timothy 5:19.) Does this mean that before an allegation of abuse can be reported to the authorities, two witnesses are required? No. This requirement does not apply to whether elders or others report allegations of a crime.

16 When they learn that someone in the congregation is accused of child abuse, elders endeavor to comply with any secular laws about reporting the matter, and then they conduct a Scriptural investigation. If the individual denies the accusation, the elders consider the testimony of witnesses. If at least two people—the one making the accusation and someone else who can verify this act or other acts of child abuse by the accused—establish the charge, a judicial committee is formed.e The absence of a second witness does not mean that the one making the accusation is untruthful. Even if a charge of wrongdoing cannot be established by two witnesses, the elders recognize that a serious sin may have been committed, one that deeply hurt others. The elders provide ongoing support to any individuals who may have been hurt. In addition, the elders remain alert regarding the alleged abuser to protect the congregation from potential danger.Acts 20:28.

17-18. Explain the role of the judicial committee.

17 What is the role of the judicial committee? The term “judicial” does not mean that the elders judge, or rule on, whether the abuser should be punished by the authorities for breaking the law. The elders do not interfere with law enforcement; they leave criminal matters to the secular authorities. (Rom. 13:2-4; Titus 3:1) Instead, the elders judge, or determine, whether an individual can remain in the congregation.

18 When elders serve on a judicial committee, their role is spiritual, or religious. Guided by the Scriptures, they judge whether the abuser is repentant or not. If he is unrepentant, he is expelled, and an announcement is made to the congregation. (1 Cor. 5:11-13) If he is repentant, he may remain in the congregation. However, the elders will inform him that he may never qualify to receive any congregation privileges or to serve in any position of responsibility in the congregation. Out of concern for the welfare of children, the elders may privately warn the parents of minors in the congregation of the need to monitor their children’s interactions with the individual. When taking such measures, the elders are careful to maintain the privacy of those hurt by the sin.

  • They commonly DF the abused

  • Two witness rule shouldn't count when they know (as below) what an abuser can do, as in, singles out the child.

  • Cops should be called, to go by the law of the land.

  • They should announce the abuse to the whole congregation as the bible says for them to in order to shame them, but they only do it to the DF abused.

  • If they are not allowed at schools or playgrounds, they shouldn't be at a church, but they let them back in or keep it secret.

Next, he singles out that child for special attention. He may also try to win the trust of the child’s parents. Molesters are often expert at pretending to be sincerely interested in the child and the family.

In time, the molester will begin grooming the child for abuse. He gradually becomes more physical with the child through innocent-looking displays of affection, playful wrestling, and tickling. He may give generous gifts and begin to separate the child from friends, siblings, and parents, in order to spend time alone with the child.

  • They know they get them alone.

  • They don’t call authorities.

  • The dude can cry and "look" repented, and they will protect him and keep him in.

  • The people just hope "Jehovah will take care of it".

  • A disgusting article applying that it is normal to hush children by doing something NO ONE WOULD EVER DO as normal under the prevention and cure part, this is giving abusers ideas, this is grooming predators, this sounds written by a predator.

Q.   Do you accept that the manner in which your organization has dealt with allegations of child sexual abuse has also presented problems?

A.   There have been changes in policies over the last 20 or 30 years, where we've tried to address some of those problem areas, and by the fact that they have changed the policy would indicate that the original policies weren't perfect.

Q.   And you accept, of course, that your organization, including people in positions of responsibility, like elders, is not immune from the problem of child sexual abuse?

A.   That appears to be the case.

Q.   Do you accept, Mr. Jackson, that many of the efforts that are being made by different people and organizations to highlight the issue of child sexual abuse and try and    find solutions are genuine efforts to improve the situation?

A.   I do accept that, and that's why I'm happy to testify.

Q.   Would you disagree, then, with anyone who said that  the efforts to highlight and deal with child sexual abuse in the Jehovah's Witness church are engaging in apostate  lies?

A.   I guess that's a broad question, because sometimes those who make these accusations make many other accusations as well.  But let me assure you, the person making the accusation is not the main thing.  The main thing is:  is there some basis to the accusation.  And if there is some way that we could improve, the Governing Body is always interested in seeing how we can refine our policies.   You see, Mr. Stewart, could I just emphasis, as a religion, two very strong things we feel.  One is, we try   to keep a high moral standard.  Secondly, there is love among the organization.  So we want to treat victims in a loving way

  • Lawyer obviously looked at that video of Stephen Lett telling the congregation all of this accusation is Satan lead lies (above).

Brief/Memorandum in Support re [328] MOTION for Sanctions FOR SPOLIATION OF EVIDENCE filed by Tracy Caekaert, Camillia Mapley.

  • Getting rid of evidence.

  • California case continued, spending millions to save this guy with donations.

  • Deu 22:25 -27

“But if the man finds the girl who is betrothed in the field, and the man seizes her and rapes her, then only the man who raped her shall die. “And you are not to do anything to the girl; there is no sin in the girl worthy of death, for just as a man rises against his neighbor and murders him, so is this case. “When he found her in the field, the betrothed girl cried out, but there was no one to save her.

  • There are no witnesses here, in fact, there was no one to rescue her, meaning she was alone with this rapist.

  • Mat 18:10

“See that you do not look down on one of these little ones; for I say to you that their angels in heaven continually see the face of My Father who is in heaven.

  • If they are so evil, why would the Father be watching over them?

  • The rest of Mat 18 is about dealing with false Shepards, and making it known to the congregation. Which they don't, they do not tell their rank and file if there is a pedophile in the congregation unless the elders happen to see someone's kids around the criminal and they might tell the family. But, mostly not based off of the court cases worldwide.

Calling themselves Kings, that don’t lie.

  • They call themselves kings, and say in the same video kings will lie, pretty sure they use that excuse to lie in court.

  • They project hardcore in this video, in all their videos, but definitely here.

  • Timestamp 5:57

They say the peace and security is the lie, it is their lie they promote with "paradise" on earth, before the false prophet comes that they never mention, or say he came, but then say to look out for this lie, as if it's not yet here.

  • Timestamp 7:50

They are the group of men that "never lie" and this comes from the mouth of Gary who lied in court that he doesn't know of the policies. They call themselves kings, these are in fact the kings that sit with the other religions who call themselves the kings and equate themselves to God.

What they tell their people

HONESTY IN THE SECULAR WORLD

15. How does Jehovah feel about dishonest business practices?

15 We must be honest with everyone, including those who are not Jehovah’s Witnesses. It is important to Jehovah that we be honest.
